When Love Comes Calling
I love it when someone approaches me to take pictures and totally "gets it". The vision I have when it comes to photography. It seems that the stars align and the session goes perfectly. OK, well almost perfectly. "Perfect" is just too subjective. Ha!
This photo shoot was what I would consider a success. Why? It is easy to have things go well when the people involved are so easy going, who understand your vision and just let things play out naturally. Not forced, just being themselves, showing their love for each other, not being afraid of that like so many of us are. Allowing me to guide them in that vision while taking into account what they were looking for as an end result. It just works!
I really enjoyed photographing this special time for them. To provide lasting memories of such a fleeting moment in their life. The miracle of pregnancy! It always manages to give me Goosebumps. Thinking about the life, that we as humans are able to create. That ultimate privilege that is bestowed upon us as women. It always seems to take me back to my own wonderful experiences.
And the best is yet to come! I will have the privilege of seeing them in just a few short weeks to photograph their amazing new, little one. I can’t wait. What a gorgeous baby that will be!
Thank you Deline and Gary!! Thank you for entrusting such a special time in your life to me. You made is so easy and enjoyable.
Don’t forget, I am officially on your phone/email list when the big day comes.
OK, for some pictures. Is she not gorgeous? Oh and I guess he isn’t too bad either. :) Ha!

I love them. And yes… they are my most favorite subject! But then what parent wouldn’t say the same about their own children.
My daughter. Helping me out with some test shots with my new 580ex flash. For now she still likes the camera. However lately she is "posing" more! Uggh. Not usually what I go for. :) Oh and I didn’t tell her to go and get dressed like this. This is what she had on all day. My pink ballerina. You can usually find her sporting some type of "different" outfit each day.
My son, Keagan. He just turned 7 last week and I still can’t believe it. He is the complete opposite of Mary Jean in so many ways. He would prefer not to have his picture taken. Or so he says. I actually think he quite enjoys it. I managed to catch a picture of him as he laughed. Probably after I told him a joke. Likely containing the word "fart"! Hey. Whatever works right?
Oh and one with his sword. He is into swords lately? We have other ones that are made of foam. They are great for he and his sister to beat each other over the head with. Don’t worry. They are soft!
Wanted to let potential clients know that I am now booking into middle to late September. If you are thinking of those fall pictures then please make sure you contact me soon to arrange a session. If you are thinking of photos for Christmas Cards you will need to have the session booked and held no later then mid October. I can not guarantee delivery of prints if done beyond those dates. I know it seems early but there is a large workflow that has to be considered on my end. :) You can call or email me.

She is probably my true baby planner to date. I took pictures of her mom Cindy while pregnant, then Madi as a newborn and now at 6 mos. old. She makes me work this little one. She is so cute, but doesn’t much care to look at the camera. Is your typical 6 mos. old that is more interested in the grass you sit her on. Not to mention she is teething so she tends to pucker her lips a bit since those teethees are bothering her. Sweet thing! But I love her and her mom. We went to Odell yesterday to take a few more since our first session didn’t work out all that great. She was really teething that night.
Here are just a few I have proofed so far.
