Slow Dance
My friend sent me this the other day. It is something we all need to read and learn from.
my daughter at her dance class. She does not know the word "slow"
SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You’d better slow down
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
Ever told your child,
We’ll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,"Hi"
You’d better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift….
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over
Staying in Touch
If you visit this blog and would like to know when I update it then you can do so by filling in your email address in the box to the left (side panel). You will then get a notification in your inbox when I have updated the blog with new images or information.
I know it is hard to keep up so I thought it would make things easier for some of you who visit. I know I am bad at posting new entries regularly, but rest assured, this is where you will find out about new happenings with Rankin Photography. It is the means by which I have chosen to keep people up to date with things I am doing with the business. I will also be sharing any promotions and new business developments here, when they happen.
I appreciate you checking in and would always love to hear from you.
For now here are a few from our March break vacation. The resort we stayed at had one of those huge indoor bouncy castles. My kids had a ball.
My daughter, the crazy girl. I just wish I could have one of these in my house or backyard for her. Imagine how easy it would be to tire her out each day and get her to bed at a decent time.
And they loved the pool and waterslide.
Such Cute Maternity Clients
Honestly I get the cutest maternity clients. And I can honestly say all my clients are so fun to work with. So relaxed and willing to go with the flow. Jenn and her family were no different. I will have the joy of photographing Jenn’s little addition very soon. And her son Jack was such a trooper. What two year old wants to sit still to get their picture taken? Not my kids when they were two. I tried the old "sticker trick" and he had fun putting them on his belly.
Thanks Jenn. Here are just a couple I managed to proof before going away on vacation. I’m back and will be working at getting your gallery up soon!
