Remember the little girl from my last post, the blonde one? Well her mom had hired me to photograph the newborn session for her little guy. And I got to meet big sis, before I did the session in the park with her.

Here she is a week or so before with little brother.

And a funny story. I was in chapters before I held this session and noticed this gorgeous, tall, blond pregnant women. Ok, no, I don’t gawk at people in public, but, considering I do photograph people, including pregnant women and newborns, I guess I may take note of a beautiful, tall pregnant women in a store. I was with my daughter, Mary Jean, and when we were done paying, this pretty blond lady who was passing behind me said “excuse me are you Shelley Rankin”? I was a bit surprised to turn and see this gorgeous pregnant women I had just been admiring. I said yes, and when she told me who she was I immediately realized she was due for an upcoming session with me. Like that week! It was obvious to me it would not be happening that week since the baby had not yet arrived. When I asked her how she knew it was me as we had never met, she said she recognized MJ, my daughter from my website. Hmmm… perhaps I have too many photos of my daughter on my site?

This was a great session so I want to share a few more of this gorgeous lady. Thanks Danica. I had a great time with both sessions and you made my job easy!

And they lived in an older home downtown that was so neat. Loved the colors!

Bad blogger, that would be me. I am back from vacation, and it was really nice to have some down time I have to say. Our family rented a cottage on Prince Edward Island, a renovated farm house on 500 acres of land on top of a beautiful hill in the middle of the country. But you could also look out past the hills and see the ocean and be there to a private little beach in just 5 min drive.

But I am back now and hitting the ground running, trying to catch up. These poor moms have been waiting for awhile to see their daughters images. One mom travelled from St. John and the other mom, I knew as I had just completed a newborn session with her and her family (images to come soon). I did this session at the park with these two little cousins just before I left on vacation so they have had to wait a bit longer then usually to see their images. But I wanted to put up a sneak peek for the mom’s now so they do know that I am almost done.

Thanks Shelley and Danica. I loved this day with your girls. They were both so different in looks and temperament but both so sweet in their own special ways.

We got to run around the park for a bit and I got to chase them for a photo!

Then we had a pretend picnic which they just loved. Dollies, table, tea set and quilts. My kind of outing.

It was fun to photograph the two at once with such distinct personalities and looks.

In terms of my schedule, I will update it here in a few days, however with this being a busy season, the end of Summer and fall approaching I am getting alot of requests for pictures. I have people on a waiting list, so I am hoping to confirm those session times this week. Once I do I will then know what I have left for openings. I am only working up to the end of October, and I have two wedding in between so my time slots are limited this year as I hate to overextend myself and do a poor job and keep people waiting.

I am, however,  considering holding a mini session. It will involve a short session of approx. 20 min, you will be shown 10-15 proofs and the purpose of these will be more to get a image for Christmas cards, etc. It is not intended as a full session. If I do go ahead with this idea, I will only have approx. 4 openings and they will go fast. If you think you are interested you can email me now to let me know and I will be in contact regarding this and the dates I am thinking about.
